Life’s path poster
A person’s whole life is filled in on the life’s path poster. The road is aimed at the horizon, where the sun stands for all the life goals a person has already realised and in which they have experienced meaning and fulfilment. This offers people examples from their own lives, in which to find inspiration and guiding principles for the future. Once filled in, the life’s path poster allows people to see the full richness of their lives. The self-reflection that follows is based on their own reality.
Description

Four perspectives
There are four pathways on the poster. They are not separate from each other, because it’s all about your life, but they can be distinguished from each other as four perspectives on your life: me personally, relationships, activities &work and living environment.
The person on the poster is you
You are here, now. Behind you is the past, starting from your childhood. And in front of you is the future. You can see your life’s path right up to the horizon. It doesn’t end there; it only disappears out of sight.
The sun stands for fulfilment
It stands for that big dream you already made come true, for example by finally taking that trip around the world. It relates to the areas in your life in which you already feel accomplished, for example when you are in a warm and loving relationship with a partner. The sun stands for a sense of fulfilment you’ve experienced, a state of being. The filled-in spot around the sun will inform and motivate you to determine what is essential to you in other areas and to put in effort.

Filling in the poster, step by step
- There are too many stickers to take in at once. So, you start to use not only your thinking, but also your guts, heart and intuition.
- Creating your own sticker subset seems complex, but when you position the first sticker on the map, everything will start flowing.
- It takes time, spread over a couple of days or more, to fill in the poster, but when you are done and look at what is shown, you’ll find that your whole reality has become visible.
More about the four pathways
- Me, personally: how do you feel inside, what do you sense, what do you think? This path stands for your inner life. For example: you’re relaxing and as you do that, all sorts of thoughts are running through your mind. Maybe you’re feeling nervous about an important rendezvous and worrying about it. Such thoughts and feelings from your inner world belong on the path ‘me, personally’.
- Relationships: are about you and your family, extended family, colleagues, friends, neighbours, compatriots, .. About how you deal with others and with whom you interact. For example, in a conversation with your child. Or taking part in sports with your friends. Or in the mutual relations in your team, at work.
- Activities & work: all actions and activities in your life belong in this path. You’re working together with your team on a project for your employer, for example. Or you’re attending evening classes that you feel are important to your further development. You’re going to a music festival. Or you’re doing voluntary work in the community garden.
- Environment: this path is a collection of many different themes. Such as your home and the place you live at, and the countries you are traveling in. All things material in your life, culture, economy and nature are also a part of your living environment.
