What really unsettles you and how are you coping?
One of the oaks in my half-wild garden will probably not survive, due to environmental factors. The oak we planted. It’s sad. It triggers my grief about the deterioration of nature. It is one of more and more examples of what is happening to nature.
I’m sitting with it until it passes, which can take some time. I let myself be inspired and informed by Humanity’s Code of Care: take care of myself, others, my places and the planet.
I recall what triggered me and I call upon the power of my loving attention. I have to accept what I can’t change. I’ve learned, that being present in such a situation is a way of processing what’s going on.
Nowadays, it happens more often, that something unsettles me. But, over the years, I’ve come to know my inner world well: what touches me deeply and why – from the past, the present and about the future. This helps me to stay upright and active, even when I’m feeling vulnerable.
In the process key questions tend to come up. What am I really doing, manifesting? What is my contribution? Where do I stand and what is my path?
I tend to my half-wild garden, choose for sustainable products and organic food. I limit myself when possessions and the material are concerned and avoid waste and pollution. I support organisations which protect, defend and restore nature. I help people reconnect and relate to what’s natural, in their inner world and in the world outside.
Because all this has become a life practice to me, I know, that the process will show me ways to cope, in the form of ideas, insight or possible choices and next steps.
